Your movements stay yours.

Kinetwist works without an account. There is nothing to sign in to, and there is no profile of you anywhere. Almost everything the app knows never leaves your phone. This page says exactly what does, when, and why.

[01] WHAT STAYS ON YOUR DEVICE

Your plans and your history, all of it.

Daily plans, saved programs, every movement you confirm, your local seven-day history, breathing and meditation records, timers, and your settings are stored on your phone. They are not uploaded, backed up to us, or shared. We never see them.

There is no account, so we do not hold your name, email address, phone number, or a password. We do not collect your location, contacts, photos, calendar, or the other apps on your device.

[02] THE ONE THING THAT LEAVES, WHEN YOU ASK

Tune Today sends a small, pseudonymous payload.

Kinetwist can suggest an adjustment to your plan using Google's Gemini model. This only ever happens when you tap Tune Today. It never runs on its own, never runs in the background, and the suggestion changes nothing until you choose to apply it.

When you tap it, this is the whole payload:

A random participant ID: Generated on your device. It is not your name, email, or any account.
A random request ID: Lets one request be matched to one response.
Your plan preferences: Minutes available, energy, focus area, equipment, delivery mode, target area, movement pack.
The adjustment you picked: Ready for more, too long, too hard, bad timing, wrong movements, or equipment missing.
The day you described: Normal day, with children, desk day, travelling, very little time, or no equipment.
A count of recent confirmations: A number. Not what you did, not when, not for how long.
Movement identifiers: The movements in your current plan, and the curated list the model may choose from.

It goes to a service we run on Google Cloud Run, which passes it to Gemini on Vertex AI and returns a proposed adjustment. The app then checks that proposal against its own catalogue before showing it to you.

[03] OPTIONAL ANALYTICS

Off unless you switch it on.

There is a setting that shares anonymous product events, and it is off by default. If you never touch it, nothing is ever sent. Turn it on and the app reports when a plan is created or updated: the movement pack, where the plan came from, the identifiers of catalogue movements in it, how many movements and rounds, and whether Pro is unlocked. No names, no history, no timings. You can turn it back off at any time.

[04] PURCHASES, BLUETOOTH, NOTIFICATIONS

The rest of the permissions, plainly.

Purchases. Kinetwist Pro is a one-time purchase handled by Google Play billing, with RevenueCat managing the entitlement. Your card details never reach the app and we never see them. We receive only whether the entitlement is active.

Bluetooth. If you build the optional cube, the app talks to it over Bluetooth Low Energy. That conversation is between your phone and your cube. On Android 11 and below the system requires the location permission before an app may scan for Bluetooth devices; Kinetwist requests it for that reason alone and never uses it to work out where you are. On Android 12 and above it is not requested at all.

Notifications. Through-day reminders are scheduled and delivered by your phone. Nothing about them is sent anywhere.

[05] DELETING YOUR DATA

Uninstalling removes it.

Because your plans and history live on your device, removing the app removes them. Clearing the app's storage in Android settings does the same without uninstalling.

If you took part in a pilot and chose to export a summary, that export was created by you and shared by you. To ask about anything held on our side, write to support@kinetwist.com with the participant code shown in the app.

[06] WHAT KINETWIST IS NOT

Not a medical device.

Kinetwist does not diagnose, treat, or monitor any condition, and it does not measure your body. It never counts a repetition or watches you move: it shows you a movement and records that you said you did it. Nothing in the app is medical advice. If you have a health concern, talk to a qualified professional.

Kinetwist is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect data from them.
